The Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz drumset is one of the most affordable and versatile deals out on the market today. This drumset features Mahogany shells and 30-degree bearing edges giving the drums a warm and round tonality.

The Catalina Club Jazz kit comes in the "bop" sizes, with an 18" kick drum, 12" rack tom, 14" floor tom, and a 5" x 14" snare drum is included. This kit is perfect for the gigging jazz musician, but can also be comfortably used in a number of other styles. These are incredibly portable, and as such, make for great rehearsal and small venue kits.

Available in the Satin Natural (SN), Copper Sparkle (COS), White Marine Nitron (WP), & the Walnut Glaze (WG) finishes.

Mapex Black Panther "Big Cat" Snare Drum

The Mapex Black Panther Big Cat Snare Drum is one of the newer additions to the Black Panther line of snare drums. This drum is 14" in diameter, and a whopping 8" deep, offering a nice deep, open sound. The shell construction is similar to that of the Mapex Saturn Series, featuring a 6-ply, 5.1mm shell; 2 inner plies of walnut, and 4 exterior plies of maple. The drum is finished in a natural gloss that shows off the natural wood grain.  

This is an incredibly versatile drum, as the shell composition and the depth allow for a wide variety of tuning and dynamic ranges. From a low and full backbeat to a whipcracking ping rim shot, there is just about nothing this drum can't do.

The Mapex Black Panther Big Cat Snare (MPMW4800CNL) comes with 2.3mm Mapex Powerhoops and Remo Ambassador drum heads.
