 		Adrian Van Batenburg

I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2002 with a BA in Jazz Studies. I have lived in Seattle since 2002 and have been teaching drumset since 2000. Over 200 students have benefited from my upbeat educational experience developing listening, technique, musical styles, sight reading and personal expression on the drumset
-- not to mention the value of personal achievement. 

Classic drum books such as Stick Control, Syncopation, and The New Breed, are the core curriculum.  Students quickly begin playing along with music.

Exploration of rhythm -- the heartbeat of music – can range from children as young as eight to adults of any age.  My performance schedule ensures my progress as a lifelong learner.  You can catch me performing regularly with The Kindness Kind and Gems.
