I'm a graduate from the University of Michigan School of Music where I earned a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance and a minor in Music Education.  Since then I have performed internationally with Hayley Sales (www.hayleysales.com), Jonny Sonic (www.jonnysonic.com) and Two Loons for Tea (www.twoloons.com) and locally as a worship drummer at many churches.

In lessons I combine a mixture of reading and technique work from books such as Syncopation and Stick Control in addition to play along books and CDs from bands like Rush, Green Day, REM, Led Zeppelin and many others.  I use many forms of modern technology in lessons including Roland's HD1 Drum Tutor software (think of it as a more educational version of the popular Rock Band video game), recordings of students in lessons playing along with "drumless" CDs that they can take home on disc or as an MP3 as well as work on electronic drums.
