Frankie Banali - (Quiet Riot)

YOUTUBE VIDEO:

Frankie Banali is an American rock drummer best known for his work with Multi-Platinum Heavy Metal band Quiet Riot.

His hard hitting, deep pocket, heavy rock drumming was a mainstay of the 80’s LA rock scene, but Frankie Banali – the person and the drummer – goes much deeper than the grooves he plays with Quiet Riot, W.A.S.P., or any number of bands you may have heard him with. Citing early influences including Ringo Starr and Charlie Watts, Frankie got heavier via the influence of John Bonham, then deeper into technique through the likes of Terry Bozzio and other progressive players. This combination of influences set him up nicely for session work with everyone from Billy Idol (Mony, Mony) and guitar whiz Gary Hoey, to Billy Thorpe, Monarch, and super-duo Glenn Hughes and Pat Thrall on their classic "Hughes/Thrall" album.

Still today the track ‘Hold Out Your Life’ is one of the best written and most exciting tracks that I have had the pleasure to be a part of,’ says Frankie. It’s also a great example of Frankie’s ability to drive a tune through all its dynamic variations and still make it rock mercilessly. It’s what he does with his longtime, band Quiet Riot. Through hits like ‘Cum On Feel The Noize’ and albums including Metal Health, he has added something more personal than just a big drum sound. He’s brought an excitement and degree of integrity to the grooves, but then that’s Frankie Banali; a great drummer and person who has a deep perspective on music and life and brings a wealth of experience and commitment to every note he plays.

Steve "The Mad Drummer" Moore - (Rick K and the Allnighters)

YOUTUBE VIDEO:

Most people know Steve Moore as the overnight YouTube sensational drummer extroidinaire responsible for the "this drummer is at the wrong gig" video. His performance of ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man" caught the attention of a worldwide audience, exhibiting his incredibly elaborate showmanship.

Steve, like many aspiring drummers, did all the right things from a very young age. Beginning at age 6 as a guitar player, and experimenting with banjo, trumpet, and piano, Moore's musical background developed very quickly. Participating in all of the usual school band programs and garage bands throughout his teen years, Moore developed a great reputation in his hometown in West Virginia and very quickly began playing the weekend circuit out there. Forcing himself to grow, he quickly realized that West Virginia was not the great land of opportunity that he was seeking, so he relocated.

Moving throughout the North East for years, Steve Moore performed in an incredible variety of bands of all different genres, searching for his golden opportunity. Instead of being stubborn like oh so many want-to-be rockstars are, Moore jumped on an opportunity to be part of the working variety show band "Rick K and the Allnighters," who, upon seeing his playing, instantly offered him a position as the drummer in their band, appearing 150-200 dates yearly.

In short, Moore has been working with this band since 1997, and has developed an approach to his show unrivaled by any other drummer out there. He has prescribed to the notion that from a live show standpoint, most people 'hear with their eyes,' and as such he performs as OVER THE TOP as possible. This YouTube video is the first time that many people have seen Steve Moore's playing, but it certainly will not be the last.

Steve Moore endorses Ludwig Drums, Sabian Cymbals, and plays his signature model Pro Mark Sticks.

YOUTUBE VIDEO:

B.B King, after a jam session with Otis Clays rhythm section, decided to adopt them as his new band. Playing on and off with B.B King since then, Coleman has amassed quite the resume.
